Bell's Dell

This is our home. A place where we were able to grow. The one constant home in all of our moving around the state of Iowa. These are our memories, our childhood, a place of inspiration and mystery. This is Bell's Dell.

There are so many memories of this wonderful place. Canoe trips with youth groups, playing on the gold hill (gold clay), mysteries in the deep ravines, the old prostitute's trailer with lots of mirrors!, our outhouse (very cold in the winter), family church at the top of the hill, the list goes on and on. I'm hoping that all of us can get some of these memories written down, so they aren't lost.

The cabin - it was wonderful to have
this finally built - and be finished with
sleeping in the trailer! Little by little -
the place became easier to live in!
The Bell Tower - Just a 'treehouse'
type place on top of our Bell!
The meadow - heading
back into the woods.
The Boone River
The Bell - taken out of an old church
that was being torn down. Wonderful
for bringing everyone in to dinner!
The Boone River

The old Bell's Mill and the Old Bridge - some of the pilings of that bridge are there to this day -
and Mom and Dad recall picking up pieces of the old mill out of the river.
